ASNCOC September Talent Show

Whew, the first week of school is finished, and it was a good one! Hope that all of y'all also had a great first week of school (or will next week, for those with kids in Pre-K).
With September just around the corner, the Autism Society of NC Orange Chatham Chapter (ASNCOC) will be getting back into their school year routine of monthly events and coffee gatherings. The first event of the school year will be a talent show! Individuals with autism are invited to sign up to share their unique talents, whatever they may be. If you have ever been to a Camp Royall talent show, this promises to be along those lines.

Here are the details:

Date: Saturday September 12, 2015
Time: 2-4 pm

Where: Seymour Senior Center Theater
Address: 2551 Homestead Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27516

Time to share your AWESOME! We are looking for individuals with autism to share their talents. Can you or your family member sing, dance, or play an instrument (piano or keyboard will be available)? Paint or Draw? Tell jokes? Do puzzles? Play cards? Know amazing trivia? Act out a short skit? Say the alphabet backwards? Multiply? Do magic? Think creatively and plan to perform or display your talent. This is your chance to enjoy the limelight. The Talent Show will start at 2 pm and will be followed by a reception to meet and greet.

RSVP to ASNCOC@GMAIL.COM if you plan to perform and/or attend so we can plan for a rehearsal (earlier the same day) and refreshments.

Please note there will not be childcare as this is intended to be a family event.
