First ASNCOC Coffee of the Fall

Back to school means many things, but one of my favorite parts of fall is that the ASNCOC coffee gatherings start up again. Every month during the school year, the Autism Society of North Carolina Orange Chatham chapter hosts informal meetings at a coffee shop. It is a great chance to chat with other parents, grandparents, and professionals who care about people with autism. Share information, make friends, ask questions, and enjoy the company of those who truly "get it".

The first two coffee meetings have been scheduled so far:

When: Friday, September 12th and Friday October 10th from 10-11am
Where: Caribou Coffee, corner of Franklin & Estes, Chapel Hill
What: Join us in the back meeting room for coffee and casual conversation. The coffee gatherings are a great chance to meet parents, grandparents, and others who care about someone on the autism spectrum. We look forward to seeing new faces and old friends.

Stay tuned for more information on the first ASNCOC Chapter meeting of the fall on the evening of Tuesday, September 16th. The topic will be "What I Wish Had Been on My Child's IEP" - advice we can all definitely use!
